A series of two typographic posters created for a Pulp Fiction Q&A event, using typography to interpret the film’s atmosphere and visual language. The first poster is a typographic map of one of the most iconic shots in the film (where Jules Winnfield points a gun in the apartment scene). The breakdown of the legibility reflects the film’s themes of drugs, violence, and disorientation. The second poster uses typefaces found in the film. To reflect the film’s nonlinear structure, the poster was printed, physically torn apart, rearranged, and scanned. I wanted to mirror the abrupt shifts between casual conversation, humor, tension, and violence.
